2014 Vietti - Barbera d'Alba Tre Vigne

2014 Vietti - Barbera d'Alba Tre Vigne

Region: Italy, Piedmont

Grape: 100% Barbera

Tasting notes (from the distributor): This ruby colored wine presents ripe red cherry aromas and vanilla. On the palate it shows bright acidity, soft tannins with good integration of oak.

From the distributor: The Vietti winery, now owned by the family’s fourth generation, is based in the small medieval village of Castiglione Falletto, the heart of Piedmont’s famous “Langhe” wine region. The grapes are selected from young vines, approximately 10 years old, located in Agliano d'Asti. The must fermented in stainless steel tanks for 14 days, after which the wine was aged for 14 months in French oak barrels or Slavonian oak casks and then transferred to stainless steel tanks for two months until bottling.
